So The Beatles just re-released their whole catalog of re-mastered albums, plus rock band, guitar hero version of Beatles, etc, etc and so on and so on and scooby dooby doo. I don't know, is it worth all that money to go out and buy CD's that I already have? I mean in my 25 year walk with Them, I've already migrated from inherited LP's to cassette tape(remember those) to CD's. Is this new version going to sound that much better? Maybe I should just go download them illegally. I don't think Ringo and Paul would see the hit in their bank accounts. Maybe Paul really needs the money after the divorce from Heather Mills. Money money money greed greed greed. And the rats keep running to the piper leading us on the Magical Mystery Tour. Does this have anything to do with the poems I wrote Wednesday night. Absolutely not. Just thought I'd mention it. No charge.
One boy's protest against the almighty binary digit via poetry and typewriters.

Me and Dr. Zhivago
What a great movie. Great scenes and great music. And to top it off it has Obi-Wan Kenobi in it! Never was able to sit and watch the whole thing from start to finish on TV so I bought a copy for 99 cents one day at the 99 cent store. It's my movie of choice on those nights that I am wide awake and prowling around the house with insomnia. What a survivor this guy was-being tossed back and forth between the Czar's army and the Communists when all he wanted to do was write some poetry and practice medicine. And then one day, pow... poof, he sees the girl that he's always longed for and he keels over with a heart attack before he can get to her. One day I'll get around to reading the book before I have a heart attack, hopefully. Life is mostly random I guess. With a few dashes of non-randomness thrown in to confuse us.

Dog-eat-dog world we live in.
Well. I lost my job this past June. Hit me like a Nolan Ryan fastball I wasn't expecting. My boss' exact words to me were..."Chris, I'm 55, if I lost my job nobody would hire me, I'd be checking groceries at Wal Mart. You're still 30-something and can find a job. Your ass is going down before mine. You got 10 minutes to collect your things." Do not pass GO, do not collect $200. What a summer I had. You know what though, if "they" knock ya down, you get back up and smile at them.
A Boy and His Machine
This is me.
This is my machine. A 1957 Remington Quiet Riter Typer bought at The Baytown Typewriter Exachange. 80 bucks plus tax.
